This exquisite wedding bowl is a 1950s reproduction of the legendary "Coppa Barovier," originally created around 1470 by the Renaissance master Angelo Barovier. Produced during the golden age of Murano glass revival by the prestigious workshop Ditta Albertini & Spezzamonte, this piece brings 15th-century romance into the modern era.

The original bowl, currently a treasure of the Museo del Vetro in Murano, was commissioned to celebrate a noble wedding in the House of Este. This mid-century tribute preserves that heritage using traditional techniques: hand-blown cobalt blue glass decorated with multiple layers of genuine gold leaf and polychrome enamel.

The true charm of this piece lies in its authentic artisanal character. Unlike modern, sterile replicas, the hand-painted figures—the medallion portraits and the allegorical "Fountain of Youth"—showcase a distinctive, naive grace typical of 1950s studio work. Each brushstroke carries the warmth of the artisan's hand, offering a soulful, folk-art-inspired interpretation of the Renaissance symbols for love and prosperity.

In excellent vintage condition, this rare set remains complete with its original red suede-style presentation box and historic documentation. It is a unique opportunity to own a piece of Murano’s mid-century history that celebrates the timeless beauty of human imperfection and hand-crafted art.
