At 43%, it was bottled at a higher ABV than the current version (40%). The bottom of the label reads "BOTTLED IN SCOTLAND BY John Walker & Sons Limited, KILMARNOCK, SCOTLAND," a testament to the pride of bottling in Kilmarnock, Johnnie Walker's historic home.
