DAUM Crystal is a luxury crystal brand founded in Nancy, France in 1878. During the Art Nouveau period, the brand was known as a master of glass art on a par with Emile Gallé, and was highly praised at the Paris World's Fair. Today, the brand continues to carry on traditional savoir-faire (craftsmanship) and produces highly artistic decorative items and tableware.
The most distinctive feature of this glass is the golden accent placed midway along the stem. This spherical part gives the entire glass a warm and unique charm. When light hits it, it emits a mysterious sparkle, as if the sun were trapped inside the glass.
The bowl (the main part of the glass) is decorated with flowing, delicate vertical cuts reminiscent of the canals of Venice. These intricate cuts beautifully reflect light, further enhancing the color of the wine. In addition, the rim of the glass is carefully hand-painted with delicate gold lines, giving the entire glass an elegant and glamorous impression.
The base has a simple, stable design, and the DAUM logo is etched on the bottom of the glass.
